Adam Hutchcraft

Adam Hutchcraft BKin, MScPT

Adam’s path to Physiotherapy began in his home province, Newfoundland, at Memorial University, where he first completed his Bachelors of Kinesiology in 2014. Moving to Nova Scotia, he studied at Dalhousie University, graduating with his Masters in Physiotherapy in 2016. Born and raised in Gander, Newfoundland, after completing his Masters in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie in 2016, Adam made the move to Saint John, working both in the Private sector as well as at the Saint John Regional Hospital Physiotherapy Department.

We welcomed Adam to our rehabilitation team in February 2019.

Adam provides his clients with an individualized, hands-on and exercise-based rehabilitation approach. He prides himself on providing his clients with education about their injury, giving the knowledge and skills they need for a successful and timely rehabilitation.

Adam’s personal interest in sports; volleyball, hockey, golf, and tennis, to name a few, was a starting point for his interest in physiotherapy, and has continued to guide his career path.  Most recently, golf has become Adam’s biggest passion. Bringing this passion to his work, Adam is now completing the Titleist Performance Institute’s (TPI) Certification Program, gaining further education and enhancing his knowledge in the assessment and functional breakdown of golf skills…ultimately facilitating rehabilitation for his clients with existing golf injuries, and assessing and modifying golf skills in the interests of preventing injury before it occurs and enhancing overall sport performance. His prior experience in coaching, both at the High School and Winter Games levels, is invaluable for his clients as he takes them through their rehabilitation and sport specific exercise programs.

Adam strongly believes in continuing to add to his knowledge base and actively combines his clinical experience with regularly attending continuing education courses to provide evidence-based, best practice to all his patients. In addition to earning his degrees, Adam has since gained his Acupuncture Level 1 certification (2017), has achieved APTEI Certifications: Advanced Lower Extremity Certification (2018) and Cervico-Thoracic Complex (2019), achieved Adam Meakins Shoulder Complex Certification (2020), and most recently completing the TPI Certification Levels 1 & 2.

If you hadn’t guessed, when Adam is not working at the Clinic, there is a really good chance you might find him on the fairways of the Hampton Golf Course…careful, he may be evaluating your swing!
